Abstract
In the present study, the effect of in situ TiB reinforcements on the fatigue behaviour of β-type Ti–35Nb–5.7Ta–7.2Zr (TNTZ) alloy has been investigated. It has been found that TiB reinforcements have no substantial influence on the yield strength and the fatigue strength of TNTZ alloy. Moreover, the presence of ω precipitates in the β matrix shows higher fatigue limit than the presence of α precipitates.
