Abstract
In the present work, for the first time, we report the route for the fabrication of high-density fibrilous aluminum oxide material from aluminum anodic oxide films using a re-anodizing procedure in fluoride-containing solutions. The process of forming fiber-like material from free and vertically standing two-dimensional alumina fibrils, as evidenced by scanning electron microscopy observations, is simple, cheap, and easily controllable.
