Abstract
Ag nanoparticles supported on AgVO3 nanobelts have been synthesized by a facile one-step reaction between AgNO3 and NH4VO3 under hydrothermal conditions. The thickness, widths, and lengths of AgVO3 nanobelts are about 10 nm, 100–400 nm, and tens of micrometers, respectively. Ag nanoparticles are formed in-situ on the surfaces of the AgVO3 nanobelts. The diameters of supported Ag nanoparticles can be adjusted from 10–30 nm to 60–100 nm by altering the AgNO3/NH4VO3 molar ratios from 1: 2 to 4: 1. The in-situ formed Ag nanoparticles on AgVO3 nanobelts may find applications in catalysis.
