Abstract
The hydrothermal synthesis process and luminescence properties of Ln3+ doped NaY(WO4)2 nanoparticles have been investigated. Nearly spherical Eu3+ doped NaY(WO4)2 nanoparticles can be observed. The luminescence concentration quenching of Eu3+ in the NaY(WO4)2 nanoparticles was found to be similar to that in the NaY(WO4)2 crystals. The upconversion luminescence intensity of the Yb3+–Er3+ codoped NaY(WO4)2 nanoparticles was found to be much stronger than that of the Er3+ doped NaY(WO4)2 nanoparticles.
