Abstract
Fiber-, bundle-, and chrysanthemum-like extra fine salicylic acid crystallites were prepared by neutralization method in the presence of polyvinyl pyrrolidone, citric acid, polyethylene glycol, and Tween-80 as modifiers, respectively. The bundle- and chrysanthemum-like extra fine salicylic acid crystallites were composed of leaf-like primary salicylic acid crystallites. The morphologies of the resultant extra fine salicylic acid crystallites were strongly dependent on the intrinsic properties of the organic modifiers.
