Abstract
Ag2V4O11 powder, a very important cathode material for lithium battery, has been prepared via a rheological phase method using Ag2CO3 and NH4VO3. This method provides a superiority of processing conditions over the conventional solid-state reaction. The size of so-prepared crystallites is distributed in a narrow range. The results of electrochemical studies show that the material prepared by the rheological phase method displays a higher discharge capacity and higher-rate capability compared to the conventional solid-state method.
