Abstract
The novel carbonation technique based on the process of slaking high-purity CaO without CO2 was employed to synthesize multigram scale monodisperse cubic CaCO3 nanoparticles, which was first reported in this communication. The products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The obtained CaCO3 nanoparticles had small particle size and good size distribution.
