Abstract
To study the effect of K2O in the glass-ceramics, the heat-treated glasses were characterized by using X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Scanning electron microscope. The results showed that the K2O contents were not effects on the formation of new crystals but increased the lattice constant. Combined with XRD data, the FT-IR peaks assigned to Ti-O and Si-O vibration indicate the formation of fresnoite(Ba2TiSi2O8) phase. The crystal shape and crystallization tendency of Ba2TiSi2O8 crystal by the K2O contents were also discussed.
