Abstract
In this paper, we have synthesized multi-fluorescent dye-doped SiO2/lanthanide complex hybrid particles, which provided a novel strategy for the design of the multi-fluorescent SiO2 particles. The resultant hybrid particles were uniformly spherical in morphology and close to monodispersity. These hybrid particles exhibited the fluorescent properties of the dye-doped SiO2 and the lanthanide complexes under different excited wavelength. The fluorescent intensity ratio between the dye-doped SiO2 and the lanthanide complex in the hybrid particles can be tuned precisely by changing the concentration of the lanthanide ions in the reaction system.
