Abstract
This study describes the synthesis of [(Butyl-)4N]4SiW12O40 microrods by microfibers seeding template method. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images prove the microstructure morphology. Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and nuclear magnetic resonance (183W-NMR) characterize the polyoxometalates. The effect on width, length, and thickness of the microrods are investigated. A possible template mechanism is suggested.
