Abstract

Crystallization time can influence different aspects of ZSM-5 crystallization and can lead to change in the properties of the final product. The crystallinity of nanosized ZSM-5 zeolite using different crystallization times has been studied. The produced samples were investigated using XRD, SEM, FT-IR and BET surface area. The as-synthesized ZSM-5 sample prepared at 45 h crystallization time crystallized in the form of orthorhombic-shaped crystals. The crystallization time of 45 h is seen to be the best crystallization time producing a material of 55.6 nm crystal size, 97.4% crystallinity and 360 m2/g surface area.
