Abstract
Results show that nanostructured YSZ coatings tend to preserve their porosity for higher temperatures than the conventional coatings. High temperature mechanical tests indicate analogous increases of Young's modulus with test temperature up to 1000 °C for nanostructured and conventional coatings (with higher stiffness for nanostructured deposits), but remarkably different behavior when approaching the sintering temperature.
