Abstract
⺠CS is suitable to process Inconel 625 coatings with H higher than the bulk alloy. ⺠Laser glazing reduces interconnected porosity in the coatings increasing E. ⺠The laser remelted samples exhibit a dendritic microstructure which reduces H. ⺠H is less reduced as the laser treatment is more energetic. ⺠The substrate could be affected in the most energetic conditions.
