Abstract
⺠The HCPEB-treated Mg67-Zn30-Y3 quasicrystal alloy is first researched. ⺠Mg largely dissolved in matrix, causing the formation of a supersaturated solid solution. ⺠A nano-structured quasicrystal layer has been realized through HCPEB technique. ⺠HCPEB treatment leads to a further improvement in wear resistance of the alloy surface.
