Abstract
⺠YSZ-5, 10 and 15 wt.% Al2O3 composite nanopowders have been sprayed by atmospheric plasma spray. ⺠Hot corrosion resistance of YSZ-Alumina coatings is higher than YSZ coatings. ⺠For YSZ-15 wt.% Alumina there is more splat formation in bimodal structure which results in a higher tensile strength. ⺠The results of thermal shock test of coatings show the same trend observed in the tensile strength test results. ⺠High temperature oxidation of YSZ-Alumina coatings is higher than YSZ coatings.
