Abstract
⺠Protection to the base metal has been provided by the NiCrAlY coating. ⺠Main phases identified in all exposed coatings are Cr2O3 and Al2O3. ⺠Oxides of Al, Cr, and Y are recognized as protective oxides for boiler environment. ⺠Higher percentage of oxygen seems to have penetrated along the splat boundaries.
