Abstract
⺠Nanocomposite phase formation is analyzed as a function of silicon content. ⺠Dual-phase coating (Cr,Six)N is compared to CrN “mono-phase”. ⺠Nanocomposite phase stability is studied at elevated temperatures. ⺠Hardness stability at high temperature illustrates the high durability of coatings.
