Abstract
												⺠Silica was in situ deposited on IN738LC and tested for its oxidation behavior during a burner rig test. ⺠The deposited silica layer was compacter at the higher surface temperature. ⺠Preferred oxidation of Al over Cr was observed underneath a compact silica layer.
