Abstract
⺠We study adhesion of hydrophobic dielectric coatings for electrowetting applications. ⺠Mechanical integrity and contribution of each individual layer are discussed. ⺠A clear switch from pile-up to sink-in deformation in the interface occurs. ⺠The sandwich-like coating exhibits improved adhesion strength.
