Abstract
⺠We set-up a 3D FE model for actual peening cases under angled multi-shot impacts. ⺠We examine the effects of impact angles, impact patterns and the number of shots. ⺠Optimal impact angle and pattern were chosen for equi-biaxial residual stress. ⺠Area-averaged FE solutions on real materials were consistent with experimental data.
