Abstract
When a bulk amorphous feedstock material was used for coating, both the kinetic energy and the thermal energy of the in-flight particles were important. The kinetic energy affected the deposition of the bulk amorphous coating, while the thermal energy had more effect on the mechanical properties of the coating.
