Abstract
⺠Template-free synthesis for the solid ZnO nano/micro-spheres was developed. ⺠The effect of structure directing agents on ZnO spheres was investigated. ⺠The size of ZnO spheres was controlled by volume ratio of ethanol and urea. ⺠The initial nucleation processes of ZnO spheres were provided.
