Abstract
The binary alloy Fe41Ni59 cylindrical nanorods and Fe32Ni68 cylindrical nanotubes have been successfully synthesized by electrochemical deposition in porous polycarbonate membranes. The length and diameter of as-synthesized Fe41Ni59 nanorods and Fe32Ni68 nanotubes are 6–7 μm and 200 nm, respectively. The magnetic properties of the as-synthesized Fe41Ni59 nanorod and Fe32Ni68 nanotube arrays have been studied. From hysteresis loops, the nanorod and nanotube arrays have anisotropy with the easy magnetization along the direction of the arrays.
