Abstract
The emission contour map was used to investigate the emission properties of poly(vinylpyridines) with acid absorption and UV-irradiation. With formic acid or acetic acid addition, the wavelengths of the generated emission band were independent on the kind of acid but dependent on the kind of polymer. The observed emission bands were classified into five types by the emission wavelength. The polarized emission maps were also examined to analyze emission properties.
