Measurement of z-direction component of electron spins field-emitted from a single-crystal magnetite whisker

► We developed a newly designed a 90° sector type spin rotator. ► The spin rotator allows us to measure all components of spin polarization of field emitted electrons from magnetite whiskers. ► We clarified that the anisotropy of crystalline structure determines the direction of spin polarization of field-emitted electrons from the magnetite whisker.
