Abstract
⺠The tribological size effect was observed in scaled deep drawing of rectangular parts. ⺠Applying the friction functions from deep drawing of circular parts into FEM-model the size dependent FEM-simulation was realized for deep drawing of rectangular parts. ⺠Applying size dependent FEM-simulation the blank shape of micro rectangular deep drawing was optimised to obtain flange free parts. ⺠The optimised blank shape was validated in experiments.
