Abstract
⺠Cosmic ray particle cascade simulations in the Earth's atmosphere and polar ice. ⺠Cosmogenic formation rate of radiocarbon in polar ice is calculated. ⺠Different cross section data sets are used. ⺠Attenuation length of spallation reactions in polar ice is found to be 130 g/cm2.
