Abstract
We present a theoretical investigation on elastic positron-H2O collisions. More specifically, differential and integral cross sections in the 0-10Â eV energy range are reported. The calculations were performed using two theoretical approaches, namely, the Schwinger multichannel method and the method of continued fractions. The positron-molecule interaction dynamics is described by using a potential composed of static and correlation-polarization contributions. Comparison of our calculated results with the recent experimental of Zecca et al. [J. Phys. B 39 (2006) 1597] and theoretical results is encouraging.
