Abstract
Energy loss and straggling of Li, C and O ions have been measured in varying thicknesses of polypropylene absorber foils. These measured values have been compared with those calculated based on various theoretical formulations. The aim of the present study is to establish the validity of various energy loss and straggling formulations, in the light of the present experimental results.
