Abstract

We have measured σLℓ, σLα1,2σLα1,2, σLη, σLβ, σLγ1σLγ1, σLγ2,3,6,8σLγ2,3,6,8, σLγ4,4′σLγ4,4′, σLγ5σLγ5, σLγTotalσLγTotal XRF cross-sections with a Si (Li) detector for some elements in the atomic range 72 ⩽ Z ⩽ 92. The samples were excited 59.537 keV photons emitted from an 241Am radioisotope source with 100 mCi activity. These cross-sections also have been calculated theoretically by using atomic parameters. Relative intensity ratios of L X-rays have determined by using these cross-sections both experimentally and theoretically. Our experimental relative intensity ratios of L X-rays have compared the experimental values available in the literature.
