Abstract
A systematic study on the activation cross-sections for deuteron induced reactions on platinum was carried out. In the present work the energy range covered was extended up to 40 MeV [F. Tárkányi, S. Takács, F. Ditrói, A. Hermanne, Yu.N. Shubin, A.I. Dityuk, Nucl. Instr. and Meth. B 226 (2004) 490] for the natPt(d,x)191,192,193,194,195,196m,196,198,199Au, natPt(d,x)191,195m,197Pt and natPt(d,x)192Ir reactions by using the stacked foil irradiation technique. Calculations of the excitation functions were performed by the ALICE-IPPE code and compared with the experimental results. The possible application of the experimental data is discussed.
