Abstract
In this study, stopping forces of 1.1–4.5 MeV 3He ions and 1.2–4.8 MeV 6Li ions impinging in foils of polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate, and polypropylene are measured by means of a transmission technique using a half-covered detector. The results appear to be in agreement with those obtained from the semi-empirical calculations and experiments by others. The validity of Bragg’s additivity rule is discussed for these ions in the polymers.
