Abstract
Trona has a wide exposure around Beypazarı-Ankara, Turkey. The samples of trona were collected from the investigated area. Two different analyses were used during the analyses of the trona by polarized X-ray fluorescence (PEDXRF). The first method, prepared sample, was multi-element analyzed with standard method. The precession and accuracy of the technique for chemical analysis is demonstrated by analyzing USGS standards, GEOL, GBW-7109 and GBW-7309 Sediment. The second method was used for the determination of the concentration of Al, Fe, Zn, Sn and Ba. Determinations of two methods were compared with the five selected elements. The trona was studied using HR-800 (HORIBA-JobinYvon) confocal Raman for identification of trona.
