Abstract
Oscillatory structures observed in the velocity distributions of the ejected electron spectra from H2 impacted by fast H+ (v/c ∼ 0.1) and Kr34+ (v/c ∼ 0.3) ions are reviewed. In addition to the primary Young-type electron interferences, secondary interferences due to intramolecular scattering, as well as considerably higher-frequency oscillations of as yet unknown origin, are observed. Dependences of the oscillations on the electron observation angle and collision velocity are discussed and compared with theory.
