Abstract
In order to deliver a high-quality beam for biophysics experiments, an electron cooler, a wideband rf system, and an extraction kicker have been installed in the Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC) at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS). A demonstration of beam manipulation during cooling and fast extraction is presented in this paper.
