Abstract
Absolute thick-target gamma-ray yields for the elements Ti–Zn (excluding V) induced by alpha particles at energies of 5 and 10 MeV have been determined. Results for gamma-lines which could be considered for elemental analysis are tabulated and the relevant gamma-ray spectra are illustrated. In comparison to previous relative yield values available in the literature, a disagreement with the present results was found.
