Abstract
Intense parametric X-ray radiation (PXR) of relativistic electrons from a textured polycrystalline molybdenum foil is observed at 150 MeV electron energy. It is shown that the intensity of the quasi-monochromatic peak of PXR is comparable to that of characteristic X-ray, Kα, excited by the same beam electrons. Some unique feature of the PXR from the textured polycrystal may be useful in developing a new quasi-monochromatic X-ray source.
