Abstract
This study is a process of preparing nanometer antimony trioxide from the slag containing antimony by the vacuum evaporation method. The influences of the temperature, pressure and time on the evaporation rate of Sb, the average particle size and whiteness of Sb2O3 have been completely investigated. The structure, morphology, particle size, distribution ranges of the particle size and whiteness of Sb2O3 were characterized by XRD, SEM, laser sizer and whiteness meter, respectively. The results show that Sb2O3 obtained by this process has an average particle size of 72 nm, a specific surface area of 15.5 m2/g, a whiteness of 90%, and a purity of 98.50% Sb2O3 with cubic crystals.
