Abstract
⺠Nanocrystalline Hydroxyapatite (HAp) film is synthesized via chemical precipitation route and characterized by XRD & AFM. ⺠Surface modification of HAp is carried out using Ag7+ ion with energy of 100 MeV. ⺠CO gas sensing parameters such as operating temperature, response/recovery time and gas uptake capacity is observed for HAp thick film. ⺠CO gas response, uptake capacity is found to be increased for ion irradiated (3 Ã 1011 ions/cm2) HAp thick film. ⺠Study revealed that SHI irradiated HAp thick films enhance the gas sensing characteristics of HAp thick film.
