Abstract
► Rehydration of heated kaolinite, goethite and gibbsite was investigated. ► Rehydroxylation of dehydroxylated gibbsite formed bayerite and gibbsite. ► Metakaolinite and hematite did not recrystallized. ► Dehydroxylated minerals and their partly rehydroxylated forms exist in heated soils.
