Abstract
Different kinds of porous ceramic membranes deposited on a raw tubular support were prepared from a Moroccan clay. Clay powders mixed with some organic additives can be extruded to form a porous tubular support. After firing, the support showed an average pore diameter of 11 μm and a porosity of 43%. This porous ceramic tube was used as support to prepare microfiltration and ultrafiltration membranes which were tested for the filtration of electrolytes and dyes solutions.
