Remanufacturing is an efficient resource circulation method that restores the used products to the original performance through a series of processes. There have been no international common quality standards of remanufactured products in spite of many industrial sectors’ remanufacturing being done so far. Korea has been operating a quality certification system of the remanufactured product to ensure the quality of products and to gain reliability of consumers. Meanwhile, many advanced remanufacturing countries have operated their own assurance systems considering their circumstance. This study describes comparative analysis of major countries’ quality management/certification system. Especially leading cases of Korea and China are presented. Cross-national cooperation ideas are also suggested in this field.
