The research dwells upon the comparative analysis of the methods and the technological schemes of the glass microspheres metallization. The technological operation of the physical vapor deposition has been developed, with nano- and micrometer thickness of metal coating varying in 40 times. The device for the vacuum metallization of the powder materials is offered. It provides the formation of the uniform coatings on the powder particles due to conditions of the combined mixing. The theoretical research of the vacuum metallization of the powders at the combined mixing of the particles has been carried out. This research has allowed to establish the optimal parameters of the metallization process. The work provides the results of the experimental researches of the vacuum metallization of the glass microspheres. The estimation of the thickness and its uniformity, composition and properties of the metal coatings of glass microspheres varying in size has been carried out.
