Abstract
Load management systems are increasingly being used in companies to reduce the energy costs of production. However, the success of a load management system depends on the quality of the energy consumption estimation. The present approach illustrates the potential to predict the energy consumption of individual products and their variants without the need for setting up a new data model. For this purpose, a methodology is developed for upgrading any existing material flow model with energetic aspects. The aim of the related work is the generation of a non- redundant data model with low modeling efforts for the user.
