Abstract
A novel HIV/AIDS epidemic model in which we incorporate a new compartment, that is, treatment compartment T, is introduced. The global dynamics of our model are determined by the basic reproduction number R0. When the basic reproduction number R0 is less than unity, the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. When the basic reproduction number R0 is greater than unity, the endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. Numerical simulations are conducted to support our analytic results.
