Abstract
Silica/A153–SO3H was prepared and characterized by FT–IR, TG and SEM. It proved to be an efficient and recyclable heterogeneous catalyst in the Baeyer–Villiger (BV) oxidation of cyclic ketones with H2O2 as an oxidant. Catalysts with different silica particle sizes were also made comparisons in terms of catalytic effect.
