Abstract
The large deflection of an elastic cantilever rod pulled by cable is analyzing in terms of the Jacobi elliptical functions. The problem is reduced to solution of a system of two transcendental equations which allow defining six different problems. All these problems are discussions and illustrated with graphs of equilibrium shapes and tables providing some reference numerical values.
