Abstract
The paper is devoted to the mathematical modeling of a transverse shearing effect for sandwich beams with sinusoidal corrugated cores. Bending and buckling problems of two sandwich beams are investigated. The core of the first beam is crosswise corrugated, while that of the second one is lengthwise corrugated. Two theoretical models are elaborated for these beams. The influence of the transverse shearing effect on deflections and critical loads of these sandwich beams is presented. Analytical studies have been verified numerically.
