Abstract
⺠We simulate the 3D hydrodynamics and flow behaviour in a sedimentation tank. ⺠We examine the interaction among continuous and discrete phase. ⺠Particles with Stokes number >1 affect the flow field. ⺠Increasing particle size will generate new vortices in the flow field. ⺠When particle size increases fluid velocity diverge from single phase flow.
