Abstract
In this paper, two new methods are proposed for solving a seasonal demand problem with variable lead-time and resource constraints. Despite its significance, no study has been done on such problem to obtain the best policy. First, in order to solve the variable lead time, a linear programming relaxation using piecewise linearization techniques is derived. Then, a mixed integer program with linearization techniques is constructed for the seasonal demand problem. Finally, some illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed models.
